First look: hate the thing. It's a shame; it's a pretty piece of glass wear. But the ergonomics are terrible for me. I'm a man, 6', long in the arms, with medium hands and long fingers. The handle is thin in cross section and rounded in profile. The profile is too small for 4 fingers and too large for 3. The round profile rotates in my grip from the weight of the server (even without coffee in it), forcing me to grip the handle, but it's thin and slippery! I can resort to levering against my pinky below the handle, but that's hot!
I find this an odd finding; the rounded profile should cause the same problem in any hand, but there is no mention in any review. Had the handle profile been more rectangular, it would offer resistance to rotation. Or a compound curve; same result.
The lid fits nicely; the silicone gasket works well. Pour is OK, but I get some dripping. Hard to control the pour, though, per above comments regarding the handle.
I'll stick it out for a while, see how it goes, but so far it's nice to look it, not so nice to use.

Hario Servers are a benchmark vessels in general. Quality of this hand made glass server is top notch. The included glass cap greatly increases heat retention when making larger brews. Perfect.

This server checks all the boxes. It is both beautiful and functional. A perfect addition to my pour over brewing setup!
