  • WANT A FLAT AND NAKED UNIBODY?

Weber Workshops' BUCK™ is a naked portafilter crafted from a block of forged, machined, and polished stainless steel. Much like the Unifilter, it is designed to sit flat on a countertop, eliminating the need for the awkward hanging-off-the-edge-while-tamping of standard portafilters. Both the FKM Rubber and Solid Teak handles have a solid stainless core which gives it the heft and strength to last a lifetime. While optimized for use with any Unibasket™ size, the BUCK will work with all standard 58mm baskets.

    • Compatibility:
      • Fits standard 58mm portafilter groups incorporating E61 design with exposed group, including; La Marzocco (all except KB-90), Slayer, Synesso, Kees VanDer Westen, Decent, Flair 58, etc.
      • Victoria Arduino and La Marzocco Micra and Mini; The BUCK will lock in and seal, however it locks in significantly to the right of center potentially interfering with position of steam wand if left in group while steaming.
    • Size: 227mm x 83mm x 32mm (8.6in length, 3.3in width, 1.2in high)
    • Weight: 570g (20.12oz) (Rubber), 530g (18.7) (Teak)
    • Material (body): Stainless 304
    • Material (handle): Black FKM rubber or Teak wood
  • Use with the Unibasket™ or any 58mm basket to extract incredible espresso shots.

Mixed feelings

Fits a bit loose on LM group. Mine came heavily scratched up, but the eightounce team was quick to sort this issue out. Not sure if I'd recommend this product.

I was on the fence buying this for my Flair 58+ and let me tell you, what a nice, heavy and well made portafilter, the beauty of laying this down flat on a surface and adding convinience to my workflow is a must, no more (portafilters holders)

Terrible Name For A Terrific Product

I was already using Weber's shower screen and basket with great success so this portafilter was a no brainer.

I use it with a first generation Flair 58 espresso maker and it works perfectly.

I was a bit unsure of the rubber handle but it is very firm (a bit of give when a finger nail is pressed into it) and is very aesthetically pleasing when attached to the Flair 58.

The greater weight takes some getting used to but the flat bottom means I don't have to use my portafilter holder when making the magic of espresso.

Pairs well with unibasket

I mainly bought this to fit the unibasket as I was having trouble fitting it to other bottomless portafilters.

Pros:
- portafilter stays in my acaia scale much easier (no balancing needed)
- easier to tamp at any surface (no need for an edge of a countertop)

Con:
- wood handle not to same quality as those from wiedemann or other after market makers

Hefty Pricey Quality

While the Buck works like any other portafilter, the design and quality outshine most. There is a heft to it that feels satisfying every time you pick it up. The teak handle is gorgeous. Its flat base does away with the need for a tamping cradle or counter edge.
