I haven't tried it with a paper filter. I bought an Aeropress with a metal filter right away. I'm very pleased, the coffee tastes close to real espresso.

Love the FELLOW Prismo Replacement Filter. The coffee presses through easily from start to finish. It doesn't matter how fine you grind it. Every Aeropress should be bundled with one. So fast to clean ready for the next coffee.

Yes it is a replacement part of the Fellow Prismo for Aeropress, but there is something else that's worth noting.
It has the best filtration result on medium grind size comparing to many other brands of metal filters I own.
Whether this filter is rated at 150 micron or 75 micron (I think 75) based on different sources, at $7.00 (USD $5.00) it is 1/3 or 1/4 of a price comparing to other named brands.
