Hario V60-01 Plastic

After trying many different drippers, I keep coming back to the V60. I bought a second plastic 01 to do side-by-side comparisons of different brew parameters.

Plastic V60 Vs Ceramic V60

An update to my previous review,
I found the plastic 01 V60 tends to sometimes have a little more brightness in the cup with a light roast coffee, which is nice.
The ceramic version of the 01 is maybe a little more balanced. It might be due to heat retention characteristics I'm not sure, bottom hole sizes are the same I believe.
Plastic has the benefit of being cheaper, not needing a preheat, and more durable (if you drop things), the only downside to plastic really is I'm not sure about whether brewing in plastic is healthy.

The adorable tiny 01 size V60 is my fav. It might be because I generally only use about 12g coffee, but found vs the 02 size I usually will prefer the 01 brew. A bit more of the pleasant brightness the V60 brings out with a nice lingering aftertaste. I much prefer either of the V60 sizes to the Timemore Crystal eye which seems to dull the acidity or brightness actually down. So If you're not a fan of 'brightness' in coffee the Timemore Crystal eye or better yet the B75 (flat bottom brewer) or Kalita Wave is a better option (B75 especially seems to brew a more sweet and mild tea like coffee). If you want a traditional coffee with good brightness (pleasant acidity) nice linger, and flavour clarity I think the V60 is the best.

I'm curious to see how the ceramic version compares.
Not a fan of plastic and hot water mixing together, but hopefully it's safe. Plastic does have advantages like basically not needing to be pre-heated (some people will still recommend it but I don't bother and I've been getting really good results). Plastic is also less prone to damage from dropping (I've accidentally tested this, and it held up dropping on a hard tile!) Glass or Ceramic option would be Resting in Pieces.
