The Able Disk Coffee Filter is a reusable filter designed to be used with the AeroPress®. This allows more oils and a fuller bodied cup of coffee when used with the AeroPress®. The Disk eliminates the need for paper filters, which is especially convenient when travelling.

The Standard Disk produces a fuller body cup of coffee with a bit more fines. Thicker and should last for many years, even with heavy use. The Fine Disk produces a very sweet clean cup of coffee with very little fines to none at all. It is thinner (1/3 of the Standard) and should be handled with care as bending/damage is more likely. If you can't decide which Disk to get, both are available as a set.

    • Available for the AeroPress® Original in Standard or Fine styles or in a set of both
    • Available for the AeroPress® XL in the Fine style
    • Disk Standard hole size: 254 microns
    • Disk Fine hole size: 152 microns
    • Dishwasher Safe
    • Stainless Steel
    • Packaging: 100% post-consumer recycled FSC certified
    • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Use the Able Disk to replace paper filters in your AeroPress®.

Great Filter

Never worry about running out of paper filters again! Both the fine and extra fine disk work great and make for a delicious cup. Cup clarity is still pretty good too, I was worried it would lead to silty cup but this is not the case. The filter blocks out all the little partials from getting through just like a paper filter

Love it.

Personally I love it. I think it allows a little bit more of the coffee oils into the coffee so it more reminds me of a French press style but a little cleaner. I also like that I won’t need to keep buying filters even though that’s a tiny expense.

Better than Paper

Ran out of paper filters and have been meaning to try out a reusable filter disc. Perfect cup, hardly any fines when used with the correct grind size, and durable too. Can brew normally or inverted - there is almost no dripping like with paper filters brewing conventionally. Less waste is a bonus!

Never run out of filters

These are very precise and will last forever. If you grind properly, you won't get any sediment. The cup you get will be a little different than with paper filters, but that's all part of the fun in tweaking new recipes. If you love aeropress, you should have these on hand. They coffee grinds will stick to the filter though, which means you have to wipe it off each time. When I make aeropress out and about, I typically still use paper filters because I can pop them off with the grinds straight into the compost.

Another way to enjoy your Aeropress

The metal filter is a nice companion to your Aeropress for a more "french press" punch for that morning cup. Although there is definitely sediment that manages to get through the finely threaded holes on the disk, its minimal for most of my brews and is an expectation for a more filling cup. If you want to add some new pep to your daily routine, why not give it a try?
