A kit to upgrade the gear box to the new GB2 in the Preciso and Virtuoso. This rebuild kit for has all the parts you need to rebuild and upgrade the parts to the new GB 2.0 Gear Box. This new design eliminates the stripping of the gear.
- Includes: new glass filled thermal plastic gear, drive shaft, motor mounting plate, and a couple of washer shims.

New life

My 10 year old Preciso plastic gear finally gave up the ghost. And decided to rebuild with new control board, burrs and all from Eight ounce. Everything fit and work, instructions from Baratza are very detailed and easy to follow. Feel good to fix up instead of more garbage, of which, Eightounce outfit should use envelopes to ship small parts instead of giant carton boxes to pack. All in all good reasonable pricing and prompt shipping.

Upgrade parts fit like a glove and work like a charm. Brought life back to a very good grinder.

worked great. baratza has amazing instructions for this upgrade on youtube and they'll send you a step by step pdf if you contact them.

it's a bit fiddly to keep all the parts organized but it's great to be able to repair the grinder myself!!

Great Kit

This Kit did the trick. Thanks to the Baratza Youtube video the installation went well. The bonus is that with this kit we were able to upgrade the Preciso by making it even better suited to espresso grind. All around, the service at Eight Ounce Coffee, the delivery and the kit made it a positive experience.
