All semi-matte ceramics are susceptible to superficial marks from your flatware. They may be removed with a scouring powder (like Bar Keepers Friend) and the Tawashi Brush.

Bigger than expected

These are a beautiful speckled white colour, but much bigger than I expected. Think central perk mug. Too big for our purposes.

Makes you mindful of life

The quality is good, apparently they’re microwavable, the generously-sized handle makes carrying a freshly poured cup of hot coffee to one’s nest doable without roasting your knuckles. One thing about the “organic” design: the bottom is rounded. And why is that important? It’s important, because if you spazz out and knock it a little, the mug will roll from side to side a little, and possibly spill its contents. Which is actually not a bad thing, because it reminds you that life will treat you like that if you knock it around a little carelessly – you will spill its contents. So the mug actually makes one, or me anyways, mindful that life is slightly precarious, and one needs to take certain care with certain things. These mugs are still my preferred choice for morning coffee. And I have the flat bottom mugs as well. Rock and roll…
